TOUR ITINEARY

DAY 1

Arrive Srinagar

Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport you will be met by our representative and transfer to Hotel or Houseboat for check in. In the afternoon you take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens and open Dal Lake. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc. Dinner and overnight in Hotel or Houseboat.

Srinagar (Excursion To Sonmarg)

After breakfast leave for Sonmarg called as “Meadow of gold” has its backdrop, Snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the Sonmarg valley abounds with trout and Mahseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajwas Glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer. Return back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel or Houseboat.

Srinagar To Pahalgam

After early breakfast we check-out from our hotel or Houseboat and leave for Pahalgam called as “Valley of Shepherds“. En-route visiting saffron field, Awantipura Ruins 19th century and Mutton temple. Enjoy the nature and walk around the bank of river lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes also the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage. Pahalgam is also famous for Indian film Industry (Bollywood). One can go for the sightseeing of Chandan Wari, Aru and Betaab Valley (on their own). Upon arrival we check in at our hotel for overnight stay.

Pahalgam Local Sightseeing

After breakfast full day free to enjoy and explore the beauty of “Pahalgam”. (own cost) One can go to Chandanwari (16 Kms) is starting point of Amarnath Pilgrimage “The Abode of Shiva” or Aru (10 kms from Pahalgam) has a fine meadow of picturesque scenery and starting point of trekking of (Liddarwat, Kolahoi Glacier and Trsar Lake). Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Pahalgam To Gulmarg

Post breakfast we check-out from hotel and drive to Gulmarg (8,825 feet) “Meadow of Flowers”. Gulmarg has a very famous Golf Course during Summer (which is one of the highest 18- hole Golf Course in the World) and Ski resort during winter. One can have Gondola Ride (cable car from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg on their own). Upon arrival in Gulmarg we check-in at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Gulmarg To Srinagar

After breakfast we drive to Srinagar and start our sightseeing tour with Shankaracharya temple, it is believed that it was the place where the great philosopher and saint Shankaracharya stayed when he visited Kashmir ten centuries ago to revive Sanatan Dharma. The original ceiling was dome- shaped and the brick roof is not more than a century old. And later proceed further to Hazratbal Mosque, situated in a Village on the western shores of the Dal Lake opposite Nishat Bagh, it is a pristine white marble edifice casting its reflection in the waters of the lake. Unlike the other mosques in Srinagar, which have a pagoda like roof, Hazratbal is the only mosque to have a domed roof mosque in Srinagar - the others having distinct Pagoda like roofs Gardens and Jama Masjid, situated in the heart of the old city of Srinagar, this huge mosque is visited by thousands of people who congregate here for the Friday prayers. Later in the afternoon we take a sightseeing tour of Mughal Gardens starting our visit to Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). After visiting above gardens we drive back to Hotel or Houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel or Houseboat.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Please be informed due to transport Union in Jammu .Private cars are not allowed to enter Jammu railway station / airport premises. Client has to come out from Jammu railway station / airport by his own and our car will be half a kilometre away from the Jammu railway station / airport. Our driver / representative will coordinate with guest and will advice pick up point to the guest accordingly.

In Pahalgam: Sightseeing of Chandanwadi, Betaab Valley, Baisaran Valley and Aru Valley are not included. If one wishes to visit the same, they can hire a taxi directly at Pahalgam taxi on their own.

In Gulmarg: The vehicle is allowed to drop at main Gulmarg or at your hotel and from there onwards one has to walk or can go by ponies on direct payment for local sightseeing in Gulmarg.

In Sonmarg: The vehicle is allowed to drop at main Sonmarg and from there onwards one has to walk up to Thajwas or one can go by ponies on direct payment. (Route is closed during Heavy Snowfall)

In Katra : Sightseeing of Shiv khori is not included , if one wishes to visit the same it will at additional.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Reach airport prior to 3 hours of your departure due to security reasons/checking.

If you are staying in houseboats ask for mobile no. of houseboat attendant or your local tour coordinator and call him before reaching to Srinagar so that he can arrange Shikara for crossing well in advance.
If any additional cost asked by driver during the tour please coordinate to your local tour representative before giving any cash.
It is always advisable to follow the timings provided by your tour coordinator/ Driver to experience hassle free travel.
